In January 2012, Miggel started the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000 hour program and graduated in April 2014. He has a strong interest in human anatomy and a desire to help improve quality of life for people. Miggel utilizes techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy technique, stretching, and Swedish massage to help clients deal with pain and improve function. He believes that no two people are the same, and that each client requires specific treatments that is individual to their needs. This involves a thorough assessment and a treatment plan based on those assessments, as well as educating clients in home care stretches and exercises. Miggel has a passion to see people heal, and that fuels his desire to always be learning.

Gene's passion for helping people began when he was a young boy in the Phillipines. He dreamt of becoming a health care professional and was enrolled in the College of Optometry in preparation to pursue Medicine. When an abrupt life event resulted in a move to Canada with his family in 1979, he struggled to find fulfilling work until he enrolled in a Massage Therapy Program at the age of 50. Gene graduated in 2012 and has flourished as a sought after Registered Massage Therapist ever since. Gene is well versed in Swedish Massage Techniques, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Hydrotherapy Applications, Joint Mobilizations & PNF Stretching. He believes in guiding each patient through breathing exercises, ensuring their understanding of the value of diaphragmatic breathing. Gene encourages patients to follow through with their remedial home care exercises to ensure ongoing healing and wellness.
